2009, RoomTrust launches Room Block Management Tool

RoomTrust has launched a new system to enable easy and effective management of hotel group allocations. The product is aimed at event organisers and those within companies and organisations tasked with negotiating and managing hotel room allocations or blocks for specific groups or events.

Hotel allocations, with negotiated terms and conditions, are easily set up so that they are available to manage centrally. Once set up organisers can either manage rooms and names themselves or automatically create a unique event web page with a group participant login from where participants or delegates can make their own reservations. Group participants or delegates see live availability and get an instant confirmation when finalising their reservation.

Organisers have full visibility of the status of their allocations through a clear and simple visual display. They are automatically reminded of release dates and can run rooming lists at any time. The current version of the system also enables "connected" hotels to see the current status of all groups at their hotel managed in the system. These hotels also have the possibility of running rooming lists after the agreed release date.

Hotel group management can be a very time-consuming exercise. With this release we provide a tool to streamline the process and give organisers complete control over all their groups in one place, whether single or multi-hotel. The participant login facility means that organisers can now issue invitations with a unique url encouraging participants and delegates to make their own reservations from the established allocations, saving the time normally involved in trying to co-ordinate responses and rooming lists.
